Nashik police have now registered nine First Information Reports (FIRs) against six primary individuals and an HR representative, involving charges that range from sexual harassment and repeated physical relations on the promise of marriage to attempted religious conversion and the hurting of religious sentiments. The investigation, which is currently scrutinizing over 40 CCTV footage clips to consolidate concrete evidence, suggests a deeply entrenched pattern of misconduct. Complainants revealed that when they attempted to lodge verbal grievances with the company's head officer, their pleas were ignored; instead, the leadership effectively abetted the criminal actions of the perpetrators.

The documented incidents outline a harrowing timeline of victimisation starting in July 2022. In the first case, Danish Sheikh, Tausif Attar, and Nida Khan are alleged to have disparaged Hindu deities, while Attar established physical relations with a victim under a false pretext of marriage and Sheikh engaged in obscene acts in the office lobby. A second case, spanning May 2023 to March 2026, involves Raza Memon and Shahrukh Qureshi, who are accused of leering at an employee and making shameful comments about her private marital life, actions reportedly encouraged by the company’s head officer. In a third instance, Shafi Sheikh allegedly subjected a victim to obscene stares and ridicule, while Tausif Attar humiliated her with remarks regarding the absence of children in her marriage.

Further allegations highlight a disturbing intersection of sexual predatory behavior and religious persecution. Between May and December 2025, Tausif Attar reportedly made indecent gestures and derogatory comments about Hindu deities in front of female staff. A fifth incident details how Tausif Attar, Danish, Shahrukh Sheikh, and Raza Memon forcibly compelled a victim to perform Namaz and attempted to force a religious conversion by coercively feeding her non-vegetarian food. Subsequent reports from 2024 through 2026 involve Asif Ansari, Shafi Sheikh, and others in acts of stalking, malicious touching, and the use of abusive language against the victims' religions. The final reported incidents in early 2026 involve Raza Memon and Shahrukh Qureshi subjecting a victim to constant surveillance, mental harassment, and lewd acts despite her clear refusals.

Following the undercover operation, five of the accused were arrested on Tuesday and remanded in police custody until April 10, while one remains in judicial custody. Notably, a female HR department associate was among those apprehended for her failure to act in accordance with the Prevention of Sexual Harassment regulations. On the instructions of Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by ACP (Crime) Sandeep Mitke has been established to probe these cases. Beyond the immediate charges, the SIT is investigating the possibility of a large-scale racket operating within the corporate environment, signaling a rigorous crackdown on workplace exploitation and communal targeted harassment in Nashik.
