Rashtrapati Award-winning Author Baldevkrishan Sharma Unveils 'Secrets of the Universe' Decoding Hindu Symbols and Science
Cosmo-scientist and Rashtrapati Award-winner Baldevkrishan Sharma launches 'Secrets of the Universe' at Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai. Joined by Dr. SS Mantha, Madhoo Shah, and Mickey Mehta, the author decodes the astro-scientific meanings behind Hindu gods, symbols, and sounds, bridging ancient Vedic wisdom with modern cosmology for Gen Z and Gen Alpha readers in a landmark literary event.
The event, meticulously moderated by Mona Menon, Director and CEO of Marshalls Wallcoverings and daughter of the author, served as a platform to explore the book's core thesis: that ancient seers utilized deities, sounds, and symbols as a sophisticated linguistic framework to communicate universal laws. Notable dignitaries in attendance included Sripad BV Vishnu Daivata Maharaja, Senior Sanyasi from Gaudiya Math; Nirmala Samant, Social Activist and Former Mayor of Mumbai; Radhika Radia, Media Professional and Mythologist; Umesh Rathod, Innovation Manager for AICTE; Aditya Chatterjee, Ad Factors PR and author of Evolution of Gods; and Pratap Menon, Director at Marshalls Wallcoverings. Organized in collaboration with Midnight Media Solutions, the launch highlighted Sharma’s decades of research into cosmology and his unique ability to bridge the gap between Indian cultural heritage and contemporary rational inquiry.
Addressing the assembly, Chief Guest Dr. SS Mantha characterized the book as a vital attempt to decode the universe through a philosophical framework where reality is viewed as a conscious, vibrating entity rather than a random occurrence. He emphasized that from the resonance of ‘Om’ to the rhythms governing the human body, the work presents a unified vision of science and spirituality. Actress Madhoo Shah shared a personal reflection, stating her presence was driven by an internal need to understand the science within traditions and the meaning behind mantras, noting that such clarity transforms the experience of prayer. Wellness Expert Mickey Mehta further expanded on this by describing symbols and geometry as powerful tools that communicate subtle energies and influence the subconscious mind, reinforcing the book's relevance for Vastu and yogic philosophy.
The narrative depth of the book specifically targets Gen Z and parents of Gen Alpha, urging a transition from ritualistic practice to rational exploration. Nisha JamVwal remarked that Hinduism serves as a deeply layered philosophy of life offering resilience through every phase, while Nuclear Scientist AP Jayaram expressed his intention to share the book with the student community to help them interpret the signs and symbols the universe constantly communicates. Author Baldevkrishan Sharma concluded by asserting that what is often dismissed as mythology is, in fact, an encoded language of cosmic principles. By presenting these truths through the symbolism of deities like Ganesha, Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Gayatri, and Durga, the publication stands as a significant contribution to humanity’s evolving relationship with the cosmos, ensuring the richness of Indian civilization remains accessible to a scientifically-minded global audience.
