Abhishek Middha Marks Formal Entry into India’s Startup Ecosystem with Launch of Middha Ventures and Strategic Investments in Ruskle and Fitreak
Entrepreneur Abhishek Middha launches Middha Ventures, a Mumbai-based family office marking a formal entry into India’s early-stage startup ecosystem. The firm announces strategic investments in flavored rusk brand Ruskle, at a INR 14 crore valuation, and wellness marketplace Fitreak, signaling a strong commitment to backing execution-led founders and innovative consumer categories.
In a notable move within the consumer goods sector, Middha Ventures invested in Ruskle, valuing the innovative company at INR 14 crore. As India’s first flavored rusk brand, Ruskle is reimagining a traditional $600 million category through inventive flavors specifically curated for younger consumers. The investment was driven by the brand’s unique experiential pitch, where founders invited the audience to taste the product before presenting, establishing an immediate and memorable connection. Founder Abhishek Middha noted that the founders were intentional in building conviction by letting the product speak before the narrative, praising the clarity and fast execution that allowed them to build belief before building the story.
Simultaneously, Middha Ventures led a funding round of INR 70 lacs in Fitreak, an emerging fitness and wellness marketplace founded by Dipti Gupta and Arth Gupta. Fitreak is developing a curated, integrated platform for fitness, nutrition, and wellness products, utilizing AI-led recommendations and expert-backed content to bridge fragmentation and trust gaps in the industry. The decision to back Fitreak reflects Middha’s conviction in strong founder-led execution, as the founders demonstrated rapid market validation by onboarding notable brands within weeks of receiving initial feedback. Middha emphasized that his backing extends beyond the idea to the founder’s willingness to build with clarity of thought and a distinct bias toward execution.
The establishment of Middha Ventures underscores a calculated strategy to support founders who integrate sophisticated product thinking with differentiated go-to-market approaches. Abhishek Middha, who brings over fifteen years of experience as the Managing Director of Middha Global and CEO of QShip Worldwide, views this as a partnership with entrepreneurs who are redefining categories during India’s powerful decade of entrepreneurship. Industry observers highlight that this move mirrors a broader trend of traditional business families utilizing structured investment platforms to bring long-term capital and operational expertise to the startup ecosystem. By prioritizing conviction, consistency, and the discipline gained from building global trade and logistics businesses, Middha Ventures is positioned to support early-stage founders navigating the uncertainties of scaling from the ground up.
