"They Are Crazy": VP JD Vance Slams Congressional Democrats Following State of the Union

Vice President JD Vance has issued a sharp warning against returning power to Congressional Democrats following the 2026 State of the Union. Speaking in Wisconsin, Vance criticized the opposition's "courage-deprived" reaction to national successes and framed the upcoming elections as a battle for American sovereignty and the rule of law.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In a scathing post-State of the Union address, U.S. Vice President JD Vance has escalated the administration’s rhetoric against the political opposition, declaring that Congressional Democrats have proven themselves unfit to hold power. Speaking at a machining facility in Plover, Wisconsin, on February 26, Vance used the backdrop of the President's annual address to argue that the behavior and policies of the Democratic caucus are fundamentally at odds with the interests of the American people.

Vance’s remarks centered on the stark contrast between the administration's "America First" agenda and the reaction of opposition lawmakers during the joint session of Congress. "If anything, the State of the Union should have shown us that we cannot give power back to Congressional Democrats," Vance told the crowd, directly questioning the patriotism and motives of the lawmakers who remained seated during the President’s celebratory milestones. He specifically pointed to their refusal to applaud measures related to border security and falling inflation, labeling the opposition’s stance as one of "delusional hatred and obstruction."

The Vice President also drew attention to a poignant moment from the week’s events, praising the "courage and resilience" of a young girl—likely referencing a national figure honored during the speech—who has become a symbol of American triumph over adversity. "Who is the person that cannot appreciate the success of an innocent young girl and the courage and resilience shown to the country?" Vance asked, framing the lack of bipartisan celebration as a sign of a deeper moral disconnect within the Democratic party.

Throughout his address, Vance remained firmly in campaign mode for the upcoming 2026 midterms, characterizing the choice for voters as a decision between "people who fight for corruption" and those who fight for "American citizens for whom the government was designed." By framing the political landscape as a battle between common-sense prosperity and radical obstructionism, Vance signaled that the administration intends to use the State of the Union as a primary weapon in the fight for Congressional control.

The Vice President’s visit to the Midwest serves as a strategic cornerstone of the administration's outreach to blue-collar voters, reinforcing the message that the current economic "turnaround for the ages" is under threat from those who would subvert it for partisan gain. As the 2026 election cycle heats up, Vance's aggressive stance underscores a White House that is increasingly unwilling to seek middle ground, opting instead for a narrative of total ideological victory.
