Bareilly Horror: Family Allegedly Orchestrates Drugging and Sexual Assault of Tenth-Grade Student
A Class 10 student in Bareilly’s Paiga village was allegedly drugged and raped by a classmate's brother in a coordinated family plot. The victim was lured into a trap by two minor sisters before being assaulted and filmed. Uttar Pradesh police have launched a manhunt for five suspects under POCSO and kidnapping charges as the community reels from the brutal betrayal.
The ordeal began on Saturday when the victim, a Class 10 student, was approached by two of her female peers. Under the guise of friendship, the sisters reportedly convinced the girl to accompany them to their residence. Once inside, the atmosphere of hospitality quickly turned predatory; the victim was served food or drink laced with a potent sedative. As the substance took hold and she slipped into a state of semi-consciousness, the sisters’ brother, identified as Mohammad Anas, allegedly committed the assault. In a harrowing display of complicity, the parents and the sisters are accused of guarding the premises to prevent interference while simultaneously recording the act on a mobile device to use as future leverage.
The gravity of the crime was compounded by the psychological warfare that followed. Before the victim could regain her senses, the suspects reportedly used the recorded footage to threaten her with death and public humiliation, vowing to leak the video online if she ever disclosed the event to the authorities. However, the plan began to unravel when the victim’s father, concerned by her prolonged absence, began a frantic search through the village. Sensing the approaching scrutiny, the family allegedly abandoned the unconscious girl on the outskirts of the village and fled their home to evade capture.
Upon regaining consciousness and returning to her family, the survivor recounted the harrowing sequence of events, leading to the immediate filing of a First Information Report (FIR). Law enforcement officials have confirmed that the case has been registered under several stringent sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The charges include kidnapping, rape, criminal intimidation, and common intention. While the police have deployed multiple teams to track the movements of the absconding family, the residence remains empty as the suspects continue to evade the dragnet.
This incident serves as a grim reminder of the vulnerabilities faced by young students, even within their immediate social circles. The calculated nature of the crime—involving the grooming of a peer by fellow students and the active participation of an entire family unit—has sparked intense local outrage and calls for swift judicial action. As Bareilly police intensify their search for Mohammad Anas and his accomplices, the case stands as a testament to the urgent need for heightened vigilance and more robust community safeguards to protect minors from such orchestrated predatory behavior.
