SSC Declares CGL Tier 1 Results 2025, Qualified Candidates Advance to January Tier 2 Exam
SSC has released the CGL Tier 1 Result 2025 on December 18. Candidates who appeared in the exam held from September 12 to 26 can download their results from ssc.gov.in. Qualified candidates will now appear for the Tier 2 examination scheduled for January 2026.
Applicants who appeared for the Tier 1 examination between September 12 and September 26 can now access and download their results through the SSC’s official website, ssc.gov.in, using their registered login credentials. The Commission confirmed that the results were finalized after carefully reviewing nearly 1,000 objections submitted by candidates during the objection window held from October 17 to October 19, 2025.
According to the SSC, the results of 49 candidates have been temporarily withheld due to various administrative reasons, while the outcomes of five candidates were not processed as they had been debarred from the examination process. These decisions were taken in line with the Commission’s established examination and disciplinary guidelines.
Candidates who have successfully qualified in Tier 1 will now move on to the Tier 2 examination, which is scheduled to be conducted in the third week of January 2026. The Tier 2 stage is a decisive phase in the SSC CGL recruitment process and will further determine eligibility for various Group B and Group C posts under the Government of India.
Following the completion of the Tier 2 examination, the SSC will release category-wise cut-off marks, after which shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification. The final allocation of posts will be made based on candidates’ performance, merit ranking, and preferences submitted during the recruitment process.
The declaration of the SSC CGL Tier 1 Result 2025 not only advances the recruitment cycle but also underscores the Commission’s emphasis on transparency and procedural review. For aspirants, the announcement represents both a validation of months of preparation and a gateway to the next critical phase in securing a coveted government position.
