NSIC Expands Access to Affordable Tech Infrastructure Through Software Technology and Business Parks

NSIC has established Software Technology-cum-Business Parks in New Delhi and Chennai, offering modular office spaces, power backup and high-speed satellite data links for MSME software, IT and ITES units. The parks also accept applications from banks, PSUs and corporate entities, expanding access to affordable tech infrastructure.

The National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) has strengthened its support framework for India’s growing technology and services sector by developing dedicated Software Technology-cum-Business Parks (STBP) in New Delhi and Chennai. Designed to provide affordable, ready-to-use infrastructure, the facilities cater primarily to Small and Medium Enterprises engaged in software development, IT, IT-enabled services, and MSME operations outside the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) network.

In a move that broadens the ecosystem further, NSIC has confirmed that non-MSME organisations—including banks, public sector undertakings, financial institutions and private corporate entities—will also be eligible for space allotment. The initiative is aimed at integrating diverse business categories within a unified technology environment, thereby accelerating collaborations and strengthening local innovation clusters.

Each NSIC-managed STBP offers modular built-up spaces ranging from 400 to 4,000 sq. ft., with essential business-support infrastructure already in place. Member units receive uninterrupted power supply and access to high-speed data connectivity through satellite links. Dedicated leased lines between 64 kbps and 2 Mbps, along with a telephone line for business use, further support seamless operations for tenant companies.

Entrepreneurs and eligible organisations seeking to establish or expand their technology ventures can apply directly through the NSIC website. Completed application forms must be submitted to the Officer-in-Charge at NSIC-STBP Complex, Okhla Industrial Estate, New Delhi, or to the Officer-in-Charge at the NSIC-STBP facility in Chennai.

By opening its technology parks to a wider spectrum of businesses and equipping them with modern infrastructure, NSIC aims to strengthen India’s MSME-driven digital growth story. The initiative is expected to offer a reliable operational base for emerging enterprises while fostering an inclusive environment that supports long-term technological advancement.
