The BCCI has announced the final list of 350 players for the TATA IPL 2026 Auction, set for 16 December in Abu Dhabi. With 240 Indian and 110 overseas players competing for 77 franchise slots, the auction features a strong mix of capped talent and emerging newcomers, including 40 players in the ₹2 crore base price bracket.
According to the finalised list, 240 of the shortlisted players are Indian, while 110 come from overseas. A notable depth of new talent is included this year, with 224 uncapped Indian players and 14 uncapped overseas entrants making the cut. These additions are expected to inject fresh competition into the auction room as teams look to balance experience with promising newcomers.
Across the ten IPL franchises, a total of 77 slots are available for the 2026 season, including 31 reserved specifically for overseas signings. The highest base price category remains set at ₹2 crore, attracting 40 players who have chosen to enter the auction at this premium bracket. The bidding is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM local time in the UAE (2:30 PM IST), marking one of the most anticipated financial and strategic fixtures of the cricketing year.
The BCCI has also released a detailed breakdown of the capped and uncapped categories: 16 capped Indian players feature alongside 96 capped overseas names, reinforcing a strong international presence. Base price distribution shows a significant concentration in the ₹30 lakh bracket, with 227 players listed, forming the largest segment of the auction pool.
Honorary BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed the final list and reiterated that the complete catalogue of players is available for public viewing.
