TWISHA SHARMA DEATH MYSTERY DEEPENS AS HIGH-PROFILE CASE UNRAVELS ALLEGATIONS OF FOUL PLAY AND FAMILY CONFLICT
The mysterious death of Twisha Sharma in Bhopal has escalated into a high-profile investigation involving allegations of domestic abuse, CCTV scrutiny, and a dowry-related death case. With the primary accused absconding and police teams deployed, the case continues to raise serious questions about evidence handling and justice delays in an influential family dispute.
Twisha Sharma, 25, had a diverse and accomplished background. After winning the title of Miss Pune in 2012, she entered the modeling and advertising industry, appearing in campaigns for major international brands including Dove and L’Oréal. She later transitioned into acting, featuring in the Hindi short film “Zara Sambhal Ke” in 2018 and the Telugu comedy-thriller “Mugguru Monagallu” in 2021. Despite limited success in films, she continued her academic and professional journey, completing a Bachelor of Business Administration from Savitribai Phule Pune University, followed by a distance-learning Master of Business Administration. She subsequently worked in the corporate sector as a communication manager at the German Academy of Digital Education.
During her corporate career, Twisha met Samarth Singh through a matrimonial platform. The relationship progressed, and the couple married in December 2025. However, according to allegations made by Twisha’s family, the marriage soon turned distressing. Her father, Navnidhi Sharma, has claimed that Samarth had a criminal mindset and was abusive from the early stages of the relationship. He further alleged that Samarth physically assaulted Twisha at Bhopal airport during their honeymoon departure, an incident the family did not publicly disclose at the time due to social concerns, which they now describe as a grave mistake.
Following Twisha’s death, CCTV footage from the residence of former judge Giribala Singh has come under scrutiny. Twisha’s sister, Naina, has raised questions regarding the footage, stating that Twisha appears calm while walking toward the terrace with headphones on. The terrace reportedly includes a gym where she may have gone for exercise. The available footage only shows her ascending, while the intervening moments remain unaccounted for. Another clip shows Samarth Singh placing Twisha on stairs and attempting cardiopulmonary resuscitation, which the family has dismissed as staged behavior. The family has questioned why she was not immediately taken to a hospital if there was genuine urgency.
Eight days after the incident, Twisha’s family continues to refuse to accept her body for final rites, demanding justice and alleging deliberate delays in a second post-mortem examination. They claim that the influential in-laws are attempting to interfere with the process to potentially tamper with evidence. Additional controversy emerged after former judge Giribala Singh allegedly described Twisha as a drug addict, prompting strong objections from her brother, Harshit, who termed it character assassination. He also alleged that the family of the accused, currently out on anticipatory bail, has issued threats through intermediaries.
Law enforcement authorities have registered a case under provisions related to dowry-related death. While Giribala Singh has reportedly been granted bail within 24 hours, Samarth Singh, the primary accused and Twisha’s husband, remains absconding. Police have announced a reward of 10,000 Indian rupees for information leading to his arrest. Six specialized teams have been deployed to trace and apprehend him as the investigation intensifies.
The case continues to develop as authorities pursue multiple leads, while the victim’s family demands swift justice amid allegations of influence, procedural delays, and evidence concerns in one of the most closely watched cases in recent times.
