Hospital Suicide in Gujarat’s Vadnagar Unravels Six-Month-Old Double Murder Hidden Inside Family Home
A suicide at a Vadnagar hospital in Gujarat revealed a horrifying double murder after a confession note led police to skeletal remains buried inside the accused’s home, exposing a six-month-old hidden crime involving his wife and daughter.
The deceased, identified as Girish Parmar, died after jumping from the fourth floor of the hospital. Initially treated as a straightforward case of suicide, the investigation took a dramatic turn when police recovered a note from the scene. In the note, Girish allegedly confessed to murdering his wife, Priyanka, and their young daughter, Pari, before burying their bodies inside their residence.
According to police officials, the confession detailed how both victims were killed months earlier and secretly buried within the family home. This revelation prompted authorities to reopen inquiries into the disappearance of Priyanka and the child, who had been missing for nearly six months.
Investigators revealed that Girish and Priyanka had entered into a love marriage four years ago and were parents to twin daughters. However, tensions reportedly escalated within the household after their marriage, with disputes growing increasingly serious over time.
Approximately six months ago, Priyanka and one of the daughters, Pari, suddenly disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Family members repeatedly questioned Girish about their whereabouts. He allegedly told Priyanka’s grandfather, Ramanbhai, that she had left the house and would return soon.
As months passed without any communication from Priyanka, suspicion intensified among her relatives. Ramanbhai eventually filed a missing person complaint at the Vadnagar Police Station, prompting authorities to expand their investigation and question members of Girish’s family.
Police believe that mounting scrutiny and the possibility of arrest may have led Girish to take his own life shortly thereafter.
Following the alleged confession, police teams, accompanied by local administrative officials, conducted excavation work inside the family residence. During the operation, skeletal remains believed to be those of Priyanka and her daughter were recovered from within the premises. Authorities suspect that the bodies had been buried there for nearly six months.
The remains have been taken into custody and sent for forensic examination as part of the ongoing investigation. Officials confirmed that further legal proceedings are underway.
This disturbing case highlights how a routine suicide investigation uncovered a deeply concealed crime, raising serious concerns about domestic conflict, delayed reporting, and the challenges faced by law enforcement in uncovering hidden acts of violence.
