Bharat Tex 2026 to Showcase India’s Textile Power as AI-Driven Mobile App Connects Global Buyers and Suppliers
Bharat Tex 2026 will be held in New Delhi from July 14 to 17, showcasing India’s textile strength, sustainability and advanced technologies. The Ministry of Textiles has launched an AI-powered mobile app to connect buyers and suppliers, while over 72 countries have already registered for the flagship global textile exhibition.
Launching the application, Ms Rao said the mobile platform will serve as a unified digital companion for exhibitors, buyers, delegates and partners participating in India’s largest international textile event. She said the application uses artificial intelligence-powered search tools to help users identify relevant products, suppliers and stall locations, enabling participants to navigate the exhibition more efficiently and connect with the most suitable business partners.
The Textile Secretary said the application has been specifically designed to understand the interests of buyers and automatically match them with relevant suppliers. According to her, this intelligent matchmaking system will significantly enhance networking opportunities and facilitate stronger business interactions throughout the Bharat Tex event.
Ms Rao said Bharat Tex 2026 will present a comprehensive picture of India’s growing strength in the textile sector, with a special focus on sustainability initiatives, recycling capabilities and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence. She added that the event will underline India’s commitment to innovation and its emergence as a global leader in responsible and technology-driven textile manufacturing.
Highlighting the scale of international participation, Ms Rao said more than 72 countries have already registered for the exhibition, reflecting strong global interest in India’s textile industry and its expanding role in international supply chains.
A dedicated Artificial Intelligence Zone will also be established at the expo to demonstrate how advanced digital technologies can support manufacturers in improving efficiency, innovation and competitiveness.
With extensive international participation, advanced technology showcases and a strong emphasis on sustainable manufacturing, Bharat Tex 2026 is set to become a landmark event that reinforces India’s position as a global textile powerhouse and a key destination for innovation, investment and international trade.
