Hadid, who shares her five-year-old daughter Khai with singer and former partner Zayn Malik, marked the occasion with a heartfelt message on social media. “Every year Luckier!” the 31-year-old wrote in her Instagram post, adding, “Thank you for all the wishes from near and far I had my dream bday brunch at home and the sweetest week celebrating.”
The images show Hadid standing alongside Khai as they prepare to blow out candles on a colourful birthday cake adorned with edible flowers. The celebration reportedly took place at Hadid’s Pennsylvania farmhouse, a property where she and Malik have previously agreed to primarily raise their daughter. The residence is also shared with her sister Bella Hadid.
The birthday setup featured an elaborate brunch spread, a dedicated coffee bar, and a mimosa station. Additional photographs highlighted vibrant orange floral arrangements used as table centrepieces, while a horse was seen outdoors on the property, adding to the pastoral setting.
In the same series of posts, Hadid also included a throwback image from her appearance at the Breakthrough Awards held on April 18 in Los Angeles. She was seen wearing a white silk halter-neck dress designed by David Koma London, styled by Elizabeth Sulcer, as reported by People magazine.
The Breakthrough Awards, often referred to as the “Oscars of Science,” are described as an initiative created to celebrate scientific achievement in the modern era. According to People magazine, the awards were co-founded by Sergey Brin, Priscilla Chan, Mark Zuckerberg, Julia and Yuri Milner, and Anne Wojcicki, and are currently in their 14th year.
Hadid has previously expressed her preference for a farm-based lifestyle. In a 2021 interview cited by People magazine, she stated, “I think she’ll definitely be raised here,” referring to Khai. “The greenery and the farm-y lifestyle are similar to what made me feel really centered as a kid, and I think that’s really important to Zayn and me.”
