The company’s domestic performance remained consistent, with sales reaching 98,004 units in April 2026, up from 95,214 units during the same period last year, registering a growth of 3 percent. Export figures demonstrated stronger momentum, rising by 10 percent to 19,510 units, compared to 17,734 units in April 2025, underscoring SMIPL’s expanding global footprint.
Commenting on the performance, Deepak Mutreja, Vice President – Sales and Marketing at SMIPL, stated that the company has begun the financial year on a steady note with growth across both domestic and export markets. He emphasized that the performance reflects continued customer trust in Suzuki products, while reaffirming the company’s focus on delivering quality offerings and strengthening engagement with customers and partners. He further highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance customer experience through targeted events and brand activations.
April 2026 also marked a significant milestone for the company as it celebrated 20 years of manufacturing operations in India, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the market. On the product front, SMIPL introduced the new Burgman Street ‘One and Only’ edition and unveiled a fresh Pearl Glacier White and Metallic Oort Gray colour option for the Avenis Special Edition, expanding choices for customers.
The company also made headlines with its flagship Suzuki Matsuri festival held in Mumbai, which earned recognition from both the India Book of Records and the Asia Book of Records. The event achieved records for the largest gathering of a single scooter model at one location and the maximum deliveries of a single scooter model in a single day, highlighting strong customer engagement and brand loyalty.
Further strengthening its connection with the riding community, SMIPL hosted a V-Strom Experience Day in Kolkata, offering motorcycle enthusiasts a dedicated platform for riding and interaction.
The April performance, combined with milestone celebrations, product launches, and record-setting events, underscores Suzuki Motorcycle India’s sustained growth strategy and its deepening presence in both domestic and international markets.
