Pune Police Crack Down on Illegal Liquor Racket in Kondhwa, Seize Over ₹1 Crore and Arrest Three

Pune Police conducted a major crackdown on illegal liquor trade in the Kondhwa area, arresting three accused and seizing over ₹1 crore in cash. The operation followed local complaints and intelligence inputs, with authorities urging public cooperation to curb unlawful activities.

Pune, Maharashtra — In a major enforcement drive against the illicit liquor trade, Pune Police have carried out a large-scale operation in the Kondhwa area, leading to the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of cash exceeding ₹1 crore. The action underscores the city police’s intensified focus on curbing illegal activities that pose risks to public safety and order.

According to police officials, the operation was launched after receiving multiple local complaints and specific intelligence inputs pointing to an ongoing illegal liquor operation in the area. Acting swiftly on the information, police teams conducted targeted raids, during which they uncovered substantial cash believed to be linked to unlawful liquor sales. Three suspects were taken into custody at the scene.

Authorities confirmed that legal proceedings have been initiated against the arrested individuals, and further investigation is underway to determine the full extent of the network involved. Officials are also examining whether the operation has links to a larger supply chain operating beyond the Kondhwa locality.

Pune Police have urged citizens to remain vigilant and actively cooperate with law enforcement by reporting illegal activities. They emphasized that public participation plays a crucial role in preventing violations of the law and ensuring community safety.
