From Landfill to Landmark: PM Modi Praises Workforce Behind Lucknow’s Rashtriya Prerna Sthal
Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised workers and officials involved in the Rashtriya Prerna Sthal project in Lucknow, noting how a 30-acre garbage dump was transformed over three years into a landmark site, and commending Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his team for the achievement.
According to the Prime Minister, the site previously spanned more than 30 acres and had remained a dumping ground for garbage for several decades. Over the past three years, the area was systematically cleared, rehabilitated, and reshaped into an aesthetically refined and meaningful public space. The project stands as a significant urban renewal effort, converting environmental neglect into a symbol of national inspiration.
PM Modi expressed deep appreciation for everyone involved in the project, including laborers, craftsmen, planners, engineers, and administrators who worked on the ground to bring the vision to life. He also extended special praise to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his entire team for their leadership and coordination in executing the ambitious initiative within a defined timeframe.
The Prime Minister’s remarks emphasized the importance of teamwork and governance in large-scale public infrastructure projects, noting that such transformations are not possible without sustained planning, commitment, and ground-level execution. The Rashtriya Prerna Sthal, he said, reflects how neglected urban spaces can be revived to serve as sources of pride and inspiration.
As the project reaches completion, it stands as a broader statement on urban development and environmental restoration, demonstrating how determined governance and collective effort can turn long-standing civic challenges into enduring national assets.
