Uttarakhand Launches ‘Operation Kaalnemi’ to Crack Down on Fraud, Impostors, and Illegal Infiltration
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announces strict action under Operation Kaalnemi against fraud, religious impostors, and illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators. Ten deported so far as the state enforces law, security, and public trust with zero tolerance.
Speaking on the operation, Chief Minister Dhami confirmed that authorities have so far deported 10 Bangladeshi nationals found to be living unlawfully in the state. He added that investigations and enforcement measures are continuing in several other cases, with administrative and security agencies working in close coordination to identify violations.
According to the Chief Minister, the operation targets individuals who use fake identities, forged documents, or religious disguise to mislead people and exploit public faith. He emphasized that Uttarakhand will not serve as a refuge for those who undermine the law or threaten social harmony under any pretext.
Dhami also addressed concerns over the nature of the crackdown, making it clear that Operation Kaalnemi is not directed against any religion or community. Instead, he described it as a firm assertion of rule of law, public safety, and the protection of Uttarakhand’s cultural and spiritual identity as Devbhoomi. “The rules are unambiguous, and decisions will be uncompromising,” he stated.
The state government maintains that the operation reflects a broader administrative commitment to internal security, legal compliance, and public accountability. With deportations already carried out and further action underway, Operation Kaalnemi signals Uttarakhand’s intent to confront illegal infiltration and organized deception decisively, reinforcing the message that governance will not bend in matters of law and security.
