Traffic-Free Push: Amroha Launches Dual Weekly Drives Against Encroachment, Mandates E-Rickshaw Registration
Amroha launches a coordinated municipal and traffic police drive to curb encroachment and regulate e-rickshaws. Authorities mandate registration within seven days and restrict vehicles to approved routes as part of a wider effort to decongest the city and maintain smooth traffic flow.
Municipal Executive Officer Dr. Brijesh Kumar has directed all e-rickshaw operators to complete their registration with the council within seven days. After the deadline, unregistered vehicles will not be permitted to operate, and all e-rickshaws will be restricted to designated routes earmarked for safer and smoother traffic flow. Authorities emphasized that the objective is not to threaten livelihoods but to ensure order on roads increasingly strained by the surge in e-rickshaw numbers.
The administration believes the weekly enforcement drive, coupled with strict route adherence, will provide measurable relief from persistent bottlenecks in the town’s commercial and residential corridors. With congestion now posing a daily challenge for commuters, officials say the campaign is a necessary step to keep Amroha moving efficiently while maintaining regulatory fairness for all transport operators.
