Uttarakhand CM Urges Probationary PCS Officers to Lead with Innovation, Integrity and Public Sensitivity
Uttarakhand Chief Minister met probationary PCS officers in Dehradun, urging them to view public administration as a service-oriented duty. He emphasized innovation, sensitivity, integrity and impartiality as essential qualities for modern governance and encouraged officers to address citizens’ concerns with seriousness and fairness.
The Chief Minister underscored that innovation must become a defining strength of emerging officers, particularly as governance structures adapt to growing public demands and rapid technological change. Sensitivity, he noted, is equally essential in ensuring that administrative decisions reflect an understanding of people’s lived realities, especially those of vulnerable communities.
Reinforcing the foundational principles of public service, he urged the officers to treat citizens’ grievances with seriousness and impartiality, asserting that credibility in government is built through consistent fairness and accountability. A truly capable officer, he said, is one who remains honest to their duties while responding empathetically to the needs of the public.
The interaction concluded with the Chief Minister expressing confidence that the new cadre of PCS officers would strengthen Uttarakhand’s governance framework by upholding integrity, adopting innovative practices and keeping public welfare at the core of their administrative journey.
