Deadly Attack on Gold Trader in Modinagar Captured on CCTV
A gold trader in Modinagar, Ghaziabad was stabbed to death inside his shop during an attempted robbery captured on CCTV. One attacker was caught by bystanders while the other fled. According to preliminary information, jeweller Giridhari Lal had just started his business day when two men entered his store under the pretext of being customers. One of them suddenly threw chilli powder at him, blinding him momentarily, while the other launched a swift and violent knife attack. The assault, marked by repeated stabbings, left the trader fatally injured before he could defend himself or call for help.
The chilling footage from the shop’s security camera shows the attackers attempting to flee immediately after the stabbing. However, people present nearby rushed toward the commotion, managing to overpower and capture one of the suspects on the spot. The second attacker fled the scene and is currently on the run.
