BJP Accuses West Bengal Administration of Large-Scale Irregularities in Late-November SIR Data Entries

West Bengal BJP has alleged large-scale malpractice in SIR data entries during the last three days of November, claiming officials manipulated records to distort ground realities. The party is demanding an inquiry and says it will soon release evidence revealing serious irregularities in the process.

The political atmosphere in West Bengal heated up on Wednesday after the state BJP accused the administration of widespread malpractice in the entry of SIR (Sensitive Information Report) data during the final three days of November. The party claimed that significant discrepancies had emerged in the system, alleging that officials manipulated entries to distort ground realities and influence upcoming administrative decisions.

According to BJP leaders, the pattern of alleged malpractice suggests deliberate interference in routine data-recording procedures that are expected to be transparent and accountable. Party representatives asserted that the irregularities were not isolated incidents but part of what they described as a “systemic effort” to suppress accurate information. They maintained that evidence reflecting these discrepancies would soon be made public and insisted that the truth behind the entries would expose deeper flaws in the process.

While no formal complaint has yet been confirmed by the state police or administrative authorities, the BJP has demanded an official inquiry and urged the government to audit all SIR entries recorded between November 28 and November 30. They argue that a neutral investigation is necessary to restore public confidence, especially in matters where data accuracy plays a crucial role in governance, law enforcement, and welfare monitoring.

The allegations come at a time when political polarization in the state remains intense, making data credibility an increasingly contentious issue. As the BJP prepares to release documents it says will substantiate its claims, the controversy is expected to trigger further debate over transparency, accountability, and the integrity of bureaucratic processes in West Bengal.
