UCL India Summer School Brings 60 Students to The British School New Delhi for Third Edition

The British School New Delhi hosted the third UCL India Summer School from 1–6 June 2026, welcoming 60 students for advanced academic immersion with University College London faculty. The programme covered law, psychology, sustainability, urban studies, and technology, highlighting global learning collaboration and UCL’s bicentenary milestone.

The British School New Delhi hosted the third edition of the UCL India Summer School from 1 to 6 June 2026, welcoming 60 pre-university students from across India for an intensive academic immersion designed in collaboration with University College London. The programme reinforced the growing partnership between the two institutions and strengthened access to global university-level learning.

The six-day academic initiative brought together distinguished faculty from University College London and the teaching ecosystem of The British School New Delhi, offering participants structured exposure to advanced academic disciplines. Students engaged in specialist learning pathways spanning law, psychology, sustainability, urban studies, and technology, reflecting the multidisciplinary strength of University College London.

A defining feature of the programme was its highly focused learning environment, with class sizes limited to 12 students. This structure enabled direct interaction between students and University College London academics through lectures, workshops, and discussion-led sessions. The programme encouraged critical thinking, interdisciplinary collaboration, and academic exploration beyond conventional school curricula.

The 2026 edition held added significance as University College London marks its bicentenary, celebrating 200 years since its establishment in London. The institution, which today brings together approximately 60,000 staff and students from more than 150 countries, has built a global reputation for research, innovation, and academic excellence across disciplines. Over its history, it has produced 33 Nobel Prize winners and continues to position itself as a leading global university.

The British School New Delhi, established in 1963, is an inclusive, not-for-profit international school located in the diplomatic enclave of the capital. It serves both expatriate and local families and has been recognized among leading international schools, including being named Top British International School of the Year in 2018 and ranked among the top private schools in India and globally.
