Grand Celebration of Mother’s Day at Maharishi Dayanand Public School, Daria Village, Chandigarh
Maharishi Dayanand Public School, Daria Village, Chandigarh, organized a grand Mother’s Day celebration at Shrimati Sikandara Devi Multimedia Hall. The event featured vibrant student performances, engaging activities for mothers, inspiring speeches by Vice Principal Anju Modgil, and heartfelt gestures including greeting card presentations. The program concluded with refreshments provided by the Shrimati Sikandara Devi Memorial Trust, highlighting themes of love, respect, and family unity in a joyful and emotionally enriching atmosphere.
The program commenced with a heartfelt welcome song presented by music teacher Subhash Chand, which immediately filled the hall with emotion and warmth. Students from Class Five and Class Three captivated the audience with their engaging and energetic dance performances, earning resounding applause for their lively and expressive presentations.
Adding to the festive spirit, a Balloon Fun Activity was organized for the mothers, in which they participated with great enthusiasm and joy. Students of Class Four delivered another impressive dance performance, followed by a Cup Fun Activity that further enhanced the entertainment quotient of the event. Young learners from Class Two also won hearts with their delightful dance presentation.
During the occasion, Vice Principal Anju Modgil delivered an inspiring address highlighting the importance and significance of motherhood. She also formally honoured the mothers, acknowledging their invaluable role in shaping families and society.
As a thoughtful gesture, students presented handmade greeting cards to their mothers, adding a personal and emotional touch to the celebration. The program concluded with refreshments being served to all mothers by the Shrimati Sikandara Devi Memorial Trust, ensuring a warm and hospitable closing to the event.
