Galgotias University advances its iOS Student Developer Program with 34 student apps live on the Apple App Store across AI, healthcare, education, and social impact domains. Supported by Apple and Infosys, the ecosystem highlights innovation, mentorship, and hands-on learning, with 18 students winning the Apple Swift Student Challenge 2026.
The university’s digital innovation footprint spans applications across artificial intelligence, healthcare, education, and social impact domains, reflecting a structured effort to transform academic learning into real-world technological solutions. This achievement is supported by sustained institutional investment in advanced infrastructure, cutting-edge laboratories, and immersive learning environments designed to encourage students to move beyond theoretical study and develop market-ready products.
The iOS Student Developer Program provides students with structured training in Swift programming, user interface and user experience design, product development, software testing, deployment processes, and user-centered design principles. Through project-based learning and collaborative development, students acquire skills aligned with current global industry standards.
Students have developed applications across diverse categories including education, accessibility, wellbeing, productivity, lifestyle, and utility. A significant number of these applications are also designed with a strong social purpose, addressing everyday challenges and delivering meaningful digital experiences to users.
According to the university, 34 applications are already available on the Apple App Store, while several additional student-built products are currently in various stages of development, testing, and launch preparation.
Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, Chief Executive Officer of Galgotias University, stated that technology education must translate into actionable solutions aimed at solving real-world problems. He emphasized that students are successfully developing applications that extend beyond the campus environment, reflecting imagination, discipline, and ambition supported by a strong mentorship-driven ecosystem that encourages experimentation and execution.
Faculty mentors at the university work closely with students throughout the development lifecycle, assisting them in refining ideas, improving execution quality, understanding user requirements, and managing the journey from prototype to final product launch. This structured mentorship model has contributed significantly to building a strong innovation-driven culture within the institution.
Further strengthening this ecosystem, 18 students from Galgotias University secured recognition in the Apple Swift Student Challenge 2026, the highest number achieved by any private university in India. Their projects span accessibility, healthcare, education, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence, demonstrating growing capability in building globally relevant and socially impactful digital solutions.
The university has been consistently expanding its academic focus on future-oriented domains including application development, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, robotics, data science, and digital product innovation. The iOS Student Developer Program forms a key pillar of this broader institutional strategy.
With additional student-developed applications currently in the pipeline, Galgotias University continues to strengthen its position as a growing hub of digital innovation, fostering practical, scalable, and socially relevant technological solutions.
