According to information received, the deceased, identified as Ajay, was a labourer working for a farmer. After unloading a trolley filled with straw, he stopped at a roadside juice stall to have a drink near Libra village. During this moment, a high-speed truck hit him, resulting in his immediate death at the scene.
Following the incident, the truck driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the spot. In parallel, the juice vendor operating the stall also disappeared from the location, raising further questions about accountability and roadside encroachments.
Local residents have stated that illegally installed juice stalls along GT Road have increasingly become a cause of traffic disruptions and accidents. They allege that such unauthorized setups create hazardous conditions for commuters and pedestrians alike.
