In a decisive move to fortify administrative integrity and academic excellence, Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal presided over a pivotal review meeting organized under the aegis of the Education Department at PM Shri Government Model Adarsh Senior Secondary School (CBSE), Chamba. The high-level assembly focused on the rigorous and effective implementation of departmental and financial regulations within the district's educational framework. Addressing a massive gathering of approximately 250 participants from nine education blocks—comprising School Principals, Block Elementary Education Officers, Central Head Teachers, and Head Teachers—the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the role of teachers remains paramount in the sphere of education and their contribution to nation-building is supreme. Directing officials and educators to maintain an exhaustive understanding of various departmental and financial rules, Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal mandated time-bound and transparent compliance across all administrative tiers. He issued categorical instructions to prioritize academic quality alongside administrative duties, insisting on the meticulous maintenance of office records and absolute transparency in financial transactions. Furthermore, he directed officers to ensure regular inspections within their respective jurisdictions and established that accountability would be strictly fixed for any form of negligence. Expressing optimism, Repswal stated that through the continuous efforts, dedication, and positive outlook of departmental officers and teachers, there will be remarkable progress in the educational standard and student results during the upcoming academic session.
The technical proceedings of the meeting featured a detailed presentation by Section Officer Finance Naveen Thakur, who shared critical insights into various financial regulations. Earlier, Deputy Director of Higher Education Vikas Mahajan welcomed the Deputy Commissioner and provided an overview of the department's ongoing activities in the district. The event was attended by OSD Education Umakant Anand and various other departmental officials. Simultaneously, in a parallel administrative development aimed at upholding democratic protocols, Additional Deputy Commissioner Amit Mehra issued orders for the formation of a Complaint Monitoring Cell to ensure the effective compliance of the Model Code of Conduct in urban areas. This cell, chaired by Assistant Commissioner Manmohan Singh and operating from the Deputy Commissioner’s office, is tasked with the swift resolution of public doubts and grievances regarding the Model Code of Conduct, ensuring an environment of strict legal and administrative adherence.
