Currently on a three-day visit to Germany, Singh’s arrival in Berlin was marked by significant military prestige, as his flight from Munich was escorted by fighter jets and he was accorded full military honours upon landing. The visit is structured around bilateral talks with German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius and other senior leadership, aimed at fortifying the strategic defence partnership between the two nations. These high-stakes negotiations are expected to culminate in the signing of a Defence Industrial Cooperation Roadmap and an Implementing Arrangement for Cooperation in UN Peacekeeping Operations Training in the presence of both ministers. This diplomatic mission reinforces India’s growing influence and its commitment to fostering international security through structured cooperation and balanced mediation.
