Hit-and-Run Kills 41-Year-Old Man in South Delhi’s Greater Kailash-I; Police Launch Probe
A 41-year-old man, Surendra Das, was killed in a hit-and-run incident in South Delhi’s Greater Kailash-I. Police have identified the offending white car and launched an investigation using CCTV footage, raids, and technical surveillance to trace the driver.
According to officials, a PCR call regarding a road accident was received at the Delhi Police station G.K.-I on the evening of March 31. The victim, identified as Surendra Das, who worked as a domestic help, was hit by an unidentified car while riding his motorcycle.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. The sudden and fatal nature of the collision has raised concerns over road safety and enforcement in the area.
Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. The crime scene was inspected, and evidence was collected, while CCTV footage from the surrounding area was analysed during the probe. Authorities confirmed that the offending vehicle was identified as a white car.
Efforts are currently underway to trace and apprehend the driver, with teams conducting raids and using technical surveillance, police added. The case underscores the urgency of swift enforcement and accountability in hit-and-run incidents that continue to claim lives on city roads.
