Cockroach Janta Party Surpasses Bharatiya Janata Party on Instagram Amid Rising Youth Discontent
The Cockroach Janta Party has overtaken the Bharatiya Janata Party on Instagram within a week of its launch, gaining over 10 million followers amid youth unrest triggered by unemployment concerns, examination irregularities, and controversial remarks. Founded by Abhijeet Dipke, the movement has sparked political debate, allegations of artificial engagement, and widespread online support across India’s digital landscape.
Within less than a week of its creation, the Cockroach Janta Party accumulated more than 10 million Instagram followers, exceeding the Bharatiya Janata Party’s 8.7 million followers. The party was founded by Abhijeet Dipke and has positioned itself around key demands, including employment opportunities, fair examination processes, and an end to divisive politics.
The party has also linked its narrative to the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak incident, which led to the cancellation of the examination for 2.3 million aspirants. The incident has intensified concerns among students and job seekers, forming a central point in the party’s public messaging.
Support for the movement has grown across digital platforms, with several celebrities and opposition figures expressing encouragement. At the same time, supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party have raised questions regarding the authenticity of the follower surge, alleging possible bot activity and the presence of foreign accounts among the new followers.
As the Cockroach Janta Party continues to expand its online presence, it has begun signaling broader political ambitions, drawing attention to the increasing influence of social media-driven movements in shaping public discourse and political competition.
