Key Accused Nida Khan Arrested in Nashik BPO Harassment Case Following Multi-Agency Investigation
Nashik police have arrested Nida Khan, a process associate at a TCS-linked BPO, in a major harassment and exploitation case involving nine FIRs. Allegations include sexual harassment, rape, and coercion. Seven others, including her brother and an HR official, are in custody as investigations continue into an alleged organized workplace network.
According to police officials, Nida Khan is named as the primary accused in nine First Information Reports filed by young female employees. The allegations include sexual harassment, rape, and religious coercion, with claims that the accused engaged in grooming and manipulation of victims over a period beginning in 2022.
Investigators have stated that one of the victims was allegedly subjected to sustained psychological influence involving the imposition of full-body veils, Islamic prayer lessons, and alleged plans related to forced religious conversion. Authorities have described the pattern of conduct as part of a coordinated method of exploitation targeting vulnerable employees within the workplace environment.
In addition to Nida Khan, seven other individuals, including her brother Danish Sheikh and a human resources official associated with the organization, are currently in custody. Police have indicated that the group is being investigated as a possible organized network operating within the corporate workplace structure.
The Tata Consultancy Services-linked entity has confirmed full cooperation with the investigation and has suspended all employees implicated in the case pending further inquiry.
Officials have emphasized that the case highlights critical concerns regarding workplace safety, employee protection mechanisms, and internal oversight within India’s information technology-enabled services sector. The investigation remains ongoing as law enforcement agencies continue to examine the broader scope of the alleged offences and associated individuals.
