In the video, Kapoor condemned the spread of misinformation and described the rumours as irresponsible and harmful. Addressing his fans and followers, the actor said, “Hello everyone, the news of my death is completely fake. I am healthy and happy. Please ignore it. I am going to cyber complain about it. But this is not good. That's not good.”
The veteran actor also confirmed that he plans to initiate legal action by filing a cyber complaint against those responsible for spreading the false information online. His statement came amid growing concern among fans after the rumours began circulating across digital platforms.
Shakti Kapoor is regarded as one of the most recognised performers in Hindi cinema, known for portraying both comic and villainous characters throughout his career. Over the years, he has appeared in more than 700 films and gained immense popularity during the 1980s and 1990s. Some of his most notable films include Raja Babu, Andaz Apna Apna, ChaalBaaz, Coolie No. 1, Judwaa, Satte Pe Satta and Bol Radha Bol.
The actor was last seen in Mere Husband Ki Biwi, directed by Mudassar Aziz. The film featured Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles. Before that, Kapoor also appeared in Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna.
