Rajasthan Braces for Fresh Heatwave Surge as Temperatures Set to Rise by 5 Degrees

Rajasthan is expected to face another intense spell of heat as temperatures may rise by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius over the next few days. Jodhpur division could touch 45 degrees Celsius by May 9, while western Rajasthan remains under heatwave and dust storm alert. Eastern districts may continue to witness thunderstorms and light rainfall before heat conditions intensify again.

Rajasthan is set to witness another sharp rise in temperature, with forecasts indicating an increase of 3 to 5 degrees Celsius over the next three to four days. The intensifying heat is expected to push several regions back into severe summer conditions, while parts of the state continue to experience isolated thunderstorm and rain activity.

The Jodhpur division is likely to record temperatures as high as 45 degrees Celsius by May 9, raising concerns over escalating heatwave conditions across western Rajasthan. Authorities have also issued an alert for hot winds and dust storms, with dusty winds expected to blow at speeds of 20 to 30 km/h in several western districts.

In eastern Rajasthan, weather activity is expected to continue during the afternoon hours, with forecasts predicting thunderstorms, lightning, and light rainfall in isolated areas. However, meteorological conditions indicate that thunderstorm and rain-related activity will gradually decline across most parts of the state, allowing intense heat to regain dominance.

During the last 24 hours, Phalodi remained the hottest location in Rajasthan, recording a maximum temperature of 42.8 degrees Celsius. Bari in Dholpur registered 11 mm of rainfall, while Sirohi recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 21 degrees Celsius.

Weather conditions are also expected to shift again after May 11, particularly in the Bharatpur division, where rainfall and thunderstorm activity may return in some areas. The evolving weather pattern highlights the continuing instability between rising heat conditions and localized storm activity across Rajasthan, keeping several regions under close watch as the summer intensifies.
