Mumbai University Announces Key Dates for Undergraduate Admissions 2026–27, Registration Begins May 6
Mumbai University has released the 2026–27 undergraduate admission schedule, with registration starting May 6 and ending May 21. The mandatory process covers BA, BSc, BCom, specialised courses, and integrated programmes across affiliated and autonomous institutions.
According to the schedule, the online registration process will begin at 11 am on May 6, while the deadline for completing the application form is May 21, 2026, at 1 pm. The registration process is mandatory for all students seeking admission to first-year undergraduate courses in non-professional degree programmes.
The centralised admission system covers a wide range of courses, including conventional streams such as Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Bachelor of Commerce, along with specialised programmes like Bachelor of Science in Data Science, Forensic Science, Aeronautics, and Nautical Science. It also includes creative and skill-based courses such as Bachelor of Arts in Film, Television and New Media Production, Bachelor of Culinary Arts, and Bachelor of Performing Arts in Music and Dance.
In addition, integrated five-year programmes such as Bachelor of Management Studies–Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Bioanalytical Science are included under the same admission process.
The university has made it clear that completing the online pre-admission registration is compulsory for all applicants intending to secure admission in the listed programmes. This centralised system aims to streamline the admission process and ensure uniformity across institutions under the university’s jurisdiction.
The announcement marks a crucial step for thousands of aspiring students preparing to enter undergraduate education, as adherence to the specified timeline will be essential for participation in the admission process.
