The campaign focused on warning people about the dangers of consuming unregulated country liquor, which often contains toxic substances capable of causing severe illness, permanent disability, or death. Alongside the warnings, officials shared detailed information on how alcohol abuse and spurious liquor can critically damage vital organs and disrupt families and livelihoods.
The Excise Department has also urged citizens to play an active role in tackling the problem by confidentially reporting any activities related to the production, sale, or distribution of illicit liquor. Authorities emphasized that public cooperation is crucial to dismantling illegal networks that operate at the cost of human lives.
According to officials, the awareness drive is being carried out alongside sustained enforcement actions across the district. Regular inspections and coordinated operations are underway to identify and eliminate illegal brewing units, while outreach campaigns continue to sensitize the public about the risks involved.
