Nadda Unveils Two-Year Performance Report of Chhattisgarh Government, Launches Sharp Attack on Congress
BJP president J.P. Nadda presents the Chhattisgarh government’s two-year report card, claiming major achievements and attacking Congress for unfulfilled promises, while crediting PM Modi for ushering in a new era of transparent and accountable governance.
Highlighting the government’s record, Nadda asserted that the BJP believes in accountability and results-driven governance. He said the past two years reflected the party’s commitment to translating assurances into action, contrasting it with what he described as the Congress party’s inconsistent approach to governance.
Taking direct aim at the opposition, Nadda accused the Congress of following a long-standing pattern of making grand promises during elections and abandoning them afterward. According to him, repeated cycles of unfulfilled assurances have eroded public trust in the party, even as it continues to return to voters with fresh pledges.
The BJP chief also credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi with reshaping India’s political culture. He said the country has moved toward a model of cleaner, more transparent governance under Modi’s leadership, where performance and delivery are increasingly central to public expectations.
Nadda’s remarks have intensified political debate in Chhattisgarh, particularly as parties assess their standing and strategies ahead of future electoral contests. His presentation of the government’s report card is being seen as an effort to reinforce the BJP’s governance narrative while sharpening the contrast with its principal rival.
The statements have added momentum to ongoing political discussions in the state, underlining how governance records and credibility are likely to play a decisive role in shaping voter sentiment in the period ahead.
