Congress Leaders Rally in Ajmer to Defend the Aravalli Hills

Congress leaders and workers gathered at the foothills of the Aravalli range in Ajmer, Rajasthan, under the leadership of Dr. Rajkumar Jaipal and Vikas Chaudhary, to raise a unified call for environmental conservation and protection of the ecologically vital Aravalli hills.

In a renewed push to highlight the ecological importance of the Aravalli range, Congress leaders and party workers gathered at the foothills of the ancient hills in Ajmer on Wednesday to send a strong message in favour of environmental conservation. The demonstration underscored growing political and public concern over the preservation of one of India’s oldest and most fragile mountain systems.

The initiative was led jointly by Ajmer City District Congress Committee President Dr. Rajkumar Jaipal and Ajmer Rural District Congress Committee President Vikas Chaudhary. Standing against the backdrop of the Aravalli hill region in Ajmer, Rajasthan, the leaders were joined by a large number of Congress workers who collectively raised their voices for the protection of the hills. The gathering symbolised unity within the party on environmental issues and reflected a broader call for safeguarding natural heritage.

Addressing the gathering, the leaders emphasised that the Aravalli range plays a critical role in maintaining ecological balance, groundwater levels and biodiversity across Rajasthan and neighbouring regions. By assembling at the foothills, the Congress leaders sought to draw attention to the urgency of conservation and to reinforce their demand for responsible policies and strict protection measures for the hills.

The event remained peaceful and focused on advocacy, with party members reiterating their commitment to raising awareness about environmental protection through democratic means. The presence of both city and rural district leadership highlighted the significance the party attaches to the issue across administrative boundaries in Ajmer.
