Tourist Vehicle Rolls Back in Dalhousie, Tree Prevents Major Tragedy at Panchpula

A tourist vehicle rolled backwards in Dalhousie’s Panchpula area while passengers were boarding, injuring several people. A roadside tree prevented the vehicle from plunging into a gorge. Rescue teams responded swiftly as CCTV footage of the narrow escape went viral.

A potentially catastrophic accident was narrowly averted in the hill town of Dalhousie after a tourist vehicle rolled backwards in the Panchpula area of Himachal Pradesh while passengers were boarding it. The incident, which unfolded suddenly, could have resulted in severe loss of life had a tree not stopped the vehicle from plunging into a deep gorge.

According to initial information, the vehicle began sliding in reverse on the sloped terrain just as tourists were getting inside. Within moments, it lost balance and rolled back, creating panic among passengers and bystanders. The uncontrolled movement was eventually halted when the vehicle struck a roadside tree, preventing it from falling into the valley below.

Several tourists sustained injuries in the incident. Local authorities confirmed that rescue teams and administrative officials rushed to the site immediately after being alerted. The injured were provided on-the-spot assistance and medical care, while officials ensured that the area was secured to prevent further risk.

Footage captured by a nearby CCTV camera has since surfaced and is rapidly circulating on social media. The video vividly shows the vehicle’s sudden rollback and the narrow escape, underscoring the seriousness of the situation and the fragile safety conditions often faced in mountainous tourist regions.
