imm india 2026 to Unite Global Buyers and Indian Manufacturers at New Delhi Expo

imm india 2026 will bring over 100 exhibitors, international buyer delegations, and India’s leading furniture, handicraft, and home décor manufacturers to New Delhi, creating a major B2B sourcing platform for domestic and global trade.

India’s furniture, handicrafts, rugs, and home décor industries are set to gain a dedicated business platform with the launch of imm india 2026, an integrated B2B sourcing exhibition designed to connect Indian manufacturers directly with domestic and international buyers. Organised by Koelnmesse, the organiser of imm cologne—one of the world’s three largest furniture trade fairs—the event will be held from September 1 to 3, 2026, at Yashobhoomi (IICC), Dwarka, New Delhi.

The exhibition aims to bridge a long-standing gap in the domestic market, where a substantial share of India’s export-quality furniture, handicrafts, rugs, and home décor products is shipped overseas before Indian retailers, interior designers, hotels, developers, and other trade buyers have an opportunity to source them. The platform will bring together global and domestic demand with India’s manufacturing capabilities across furniture, home décor, rugs and carpets, mattresses, and handcrafted collections.

According to the organisers, the event has received an unprecedented response from India’s trade community. Architects, interior designers, real estate developers, retailers, wholesalers, HoReCa professionals, buying houses, and sourcing agencies have registered in significant numbers, reflecting growing demand for a platform that offers direct access to manufacturers, design-focused products, and business interactions beyond catalogues and online sourcing portals.

Speaking on the platform’s growing relevance, Mr. Milind Dixit, Managing Director, Koelnmesse Pvt. Ltd., said, “imm india 2026 is not just another exhibition—it is a bold statement of India’s readiness to lead the global furniture and interiors conversation. Our vision is to create a marketplace where Indian manufacturers connect seamlessly with global demand, where design meets business, and where long-term partnerships are built.”

The exhibition is designed to serve both sides of the supply chain. More than 100 confirmed exhibitors, including export-ready manufacturers that traditionally prioritise overseas orders, will have an organised platform to engage directly with India’s domestic trade buyers. At the same time, domestic buyers will gain access to export-quality, design-led products directly from manufacturers.

For architects and interior designers, the platform offers an opportunity to evaluate materials, brief manufacturers to project specifications, and source customised products. Retailers and distributors will gain early access to new collections before they reach the broader market. HoReCa professionals and real estate developers will also be able to procure directly at project scale, eliminating intermediaries and enabling face-to-face engagement with suppliers.

The organisers said the international trade environment is further strengthening the exhibition’s significance. The recently finalised European Union–India Free Trade Agreement and the India–UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), which provide duty-free access for 99 percent of Indian furniture, home décor, and handicraft exports into Europe and the United Kingdom, have enhanced India’s position as a global sourcing destination. As a result, manufacturers exhibiting at imm india are showcasing products developed to international specifications.

Mr. C.P Sharma, President, Handloom Handicraft Exporters Welfare Association (HHEWA), COA Member, PDEXCIL (Ministry of Textiles, Government of India invited COA EPCH), said, “HHEWA is pleased to partner with imm india to create new business and export opportunities for India’s handicraft and home décor exporters. Together, HHEWA and imm india are committed to supporting the growth, visibility, and global competitiveness of Indian exporters.”

Mr. Bharat Dinesh, President, Jodhpur Handicrafts Exporters Association, said, “imm india marks a defining step for India’s furniture and interiors industry. It gives our members and the wider ecosystem a focused global platform to showcase Indian design, connect with serious buyers, and build partnerships that strengthen India’s position in global trade.”

The exhibition will feature furniture, rugs and carpets, home décor, surfaces, kitchen solutions, mattresses, and handcrafted collections. Confirmed exhibitors include Source, Sunrise International, Sheela Foam Limited, Obeetee Pvt. Ltd., Phoenix Industries Ltd., Royal Rugs, Khivraj Handicrafts, Sankara Furniture Designs, Metaltech Design, Saraf Exports, Tapisserie Home, The Furniture Folks, and Mahesh Handicrafts, along with more than 100 exhibitors representing manufacturing hubs including Jodhpur, Moradabad, Karur, and Saharanpur.

Alongside domestic sourcing opportunities, imm india 2026 will host a structured International Hosted Buyer Programme featuring confirmed trade delegations from the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Spain, Oman, Mexico, Egypt, Israel, Romania, the United Arab Emirates, and other key international markets. Organisers said the programme will ensure qualified overseas buyers are present on the exhibition floor.

The event is supported by a broad coalition of industry organisations, including JHEA, AMK, HHEWA, Buying Agents Association (BAA), and AFMI – Association of Furniture Manufacturers of India as the Exclusive Partner. Additional support comes from The Handicrafts Exporters Association Moradabad, Bagru Industrial Association, AACC, IETO, ICC, Kirti Nagar Timber & Furniture Dealers Association, and KHEXMASS, bringing together manufacturing clusters, trade bodies, and buyer segments from across the country.

In addition to sourcing opportunities, imm india 2026 will host industry conferences and knowledge sessions curated with the architecture and interior design community, as well as the imm india Excellence Awards, which will recognise innovation, sustainability, craftsmanship, and design excellence across Indian manufacturing.

Registration is free for qualified trade visitors through the official event website. Organisers said the three-day exhibition is intended to provide a single destination where India’s globally competitive furniture and interiors industry can engage both the domestic market it has largely bypassed and the international buyers seeking Indian manufacturing expertise.
