Amit Shah Declares India Naxal-Free in Fiery Lok Sabha Speech

Amit Shah declares India Naxal-free in a fiery Lok Sabha speech, citing a sharp drop in violence and deaths from 2013 to 2024. He highlights security successes, development efforts, and accuses Rahul Gandhi of links to Naxal sympathizers amid opposition backlash.

In a fiery Lok Sabha speech, Amit Shah declared India Naxal-free, marking a significant moment in the government’s long-standing campaign against insurgency. He asserted that the Modi government's campaign led to a sharp decline in violence, citing a 52% reduction in incidents and a 62% drop in deaths from 2013 to 2024.

Shah stated that Naxal-affected areas have now been reduced to just three districts in Chhattisgarh, underscoring what he described as the near-complete eradication of the movement. He further highlighted that security forces neutralized over 700 Naxals last year, while thousands surrendered amid expanded development efforts.

According to Shah, the government strengthened its administrative and security framework by establishing new roads, schools, and camps in former Naxal hotspots. He emphasized that these measures played a crucial role in restoring stability and state presence in previously affected regions.

During the address, Shah also launched a political attack, accusing Rahul Gandhi of ties to Naxal sympathizers. He referenced meetings and events to support his claim. The opposition, however, pushed back, calling the allegations politically motivated and maintaining that eradication efforts are still ongoing.
