Her decision to sever ties and choose her own path, he added, left the family feeling abandoned, leading them to symbolically “carry the funeral of their dreams and expectations.”
Police officials confirmed that Savita is an adult and that her decision to live with her husband is legally valid. As she made her choice voluntarily, no further action was required from the authorities.
