Shiva at the Heart of Kashi–Tamil Bonds, Says Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath

Emphasising the enduring cultural bridge between northern and southern India, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said that the historic connection between Kashi and Tamil Nadu is deeply rooted in centuries-old devotion to Lord Shiva. Speaking about the shared spiritual heritage of the two regions, he noted that the tradition of Shiva worship has long served as a unifying force, fostering cultural exchange and reinforcing bonds of faith.

According to the Chief Minister, both Kashi and Tamil Nadu have nurtured vibrant streams of Shaiva traditions for generations, creating a spiritual dialogue that transcends geography.
