Amit Shah Calls on Nation to Pass On Legacy of Guru Gobind Singh and the Sahibzadas to India’s Youth

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking in Haryana, said it is a national duty to ensure India’s youth learn about the life of Guru Gobind Singh and the sacrifices of the Sahibzadas, calling their courage, patriotism, and faith a lasting source of inspiration for future generations.

In a strong appeal rooted in history and national identity, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday underscored the responsibility of society to ensure that India’s younger generations are fully aware of the life and sacrifices of Guru Gobind Singh and his four sons, revered as the Sahibzadas. Speaking in Haryana, Shah said that the values embodied by the tenth Sikh Guru and his family hold enduring relevance for the country’s youth.

The Home Minister highlighted that Guru Gobind Singh’s life was defined by extraordinary courage, unwavering patriotism, and deep spiritual commitment. He noted that the Sahibzadas’ sacrifices stand among the most profound examples of selflessness in Indian history, reflecting a steadfast resolve to uphold faith and righteousness even in the face of extreme adversity.

According to Shah, these narratives are not merely historical accounts but living sources of inspiration that can shape character and strengthen moral foundations. He stressed that making young Indians aware of this legacy is a collective duty, as it nurtures a sense of nationalism, ethical responsibility, and respect for the country’s cultural heritage.

Shah further emphasized that passing on such stories of valor and conviction to future generations is essential for reinforcing core values in society. He said that understanding the sacrifices made for faith and the nation can help instill resilience, integrity, and a deeper sense of purpose among the youth.
