The accident occurred at a factory in Kadi taluka, where a truck had arrived to unload goods early in the morning. According to police, the vehicle was being driven by Devaram Chaudhary, a resident of Barmer district in Rajasthan, who worked as a truck driver. His 19-year-old son, Muknaram, was employed as his helper and was assisting him at the site.
At around 7 am, Devaram began reversing the truck while Muknaram stood behind it to guide the maneuver, a common practice during unloading. During the process, an iron stand became lodged between the truck and a barrier wall inside the factory premises. Seeing the obstruction, Muknaram stepped forward to remove it. In a tragic sequence of seconds, the truck reversed further, pinning the young man between the vehicle and the wall.
By the time Devaram realised what had happened, Muknaram had suffered critical injuries. Fellow factory workers rushed to the scene and helped pull him out before immediately taking him to Kundal Hospital in Kadi. Doctors, however, declared him dead on arrival.
Police officials confirmed that the entire incident was captured on CCTV installed at the factory, footage that has since surfaced and deeply disturbed viewers due to its sudden and tragic nature. After the incident, Devaram himself reportedly informed the police about the accident.
Authorities have taken note of the circumstances surrounding the incident and are following standard procedures. No foul play has been alleged, and the case is being treated as an accidental death.
The loss has underscored the severe risks involved in industrial and transport-related work, especially where safety measures are minimal and family members work side by side. What began as an ordinary morning of earning a livelihood ended in irreversible loss, leaving behind a grieving father and a stark reminder of how quickly tragedy can unfold in the workplace.
