Spain Plunges into Mourning After High-Speed Rail Disaster Near Córdoba Claims 39 Lives

At least 39 people have been killed and over 150 injured following a catastrophic mid-air collision between two high-speed trains near Córdoba, Spain. The derailment of a Madrid-bound Iryo train led to a fatal impact with an oncoming Renfe service near Adamuz. As Spain enters a period of national mourning, Transport Minister Óscar Puente has ordered an urgent investigation into the "strange" circumstances of the crash.
