Simple Energy Redefines Electric Mobility with Launch of India's Longest-Range Scooter, the Simple Ultra
Simple Energy has launched the Simple Ultra in India, setting a new benchmark as the country’s longest-range electric scooter with a 400 km IDC range. Priced at Rs 2.35 lakh, the 6.5 kWh battery-powered EV reaches 115 kmph and is now available for purchase and test rides. Discover the latest on deliveries and Simple Energy’s retail expansion across Bengaluru, Delhi, and beyond.
First unveiled earlier this year as a cornerstone of the company’s Gen 2 portfolio, the Simple Ultra follows the successful introduction of the Gen 2 versions of the Simple One and Simple OneS. While bookings for the flagship scooter had opened previously, the momentum has shifted into high gear with deliveries commencing last month. At the core of this engineering feat is a massive 6.5 kWh battery pack, the primary driver behind the headline-grabbing 400 km IDC range. Beyond endurance, the Ultra delivers high-tier performance, reaching a top speed of 115 kmph and capable of sprinting from 0 to 40 kmph in a mere 2.77 seconds. These specifications position the Ultra as the second-fastest electric scooter in the Simple Energy lineup, trailing only the Simple One.
Technological sophistication remains a key focus for this model, which comes equipped with four distinct levels of traction control to ensure rider safety and stability. The vehicle features a seven-inch digital display that serves as the central hub for ride information and multi-functional controls. Parallel to this product rollout, Simple Energy is aggressively expanding its physical presence. The company currently operates nearly 70 touchpoints in major hubs including Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kochi. This retail footprint is set to widen further, with plans to establish locations in Nagpur, Ranchi, and Bhubaneswar in the coming months. As Simple Energy accelerates its production and distribution, the Simple Ultra stands as a significant pivot point for the domestic EV industry, bridging the gap between urban commuting and long-distance capability.
