Strategic Skies: IAF Validates Northeast India’s First Highway Emergency Landing Strip

The Indian Air Force has successfully tested Northeast India’s first dual-use emergency landing facility in Assam. Spanning 4.2 km, the Moran highway airstrip strengthens strategic defense near the China and Myanmar borders. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the facility on February 14 with a high-profile airshow featuring 16 fighter jets and transport aircraft.
