Rahul Gandhi Targets LDF Ahead of Kerala Assembly Elections 2026, Alleges Ideological Compromise and Political Alignments
Rahul Gandhi intensifies political attack on LDF ahead of Kerala Assembly Elections 2026, alleging ties with BJP and RSS, ideological compromise, and growing dissatisfaction among party workers, raising political tensions in the state.
Addressing the gathering, Rahul Gandhi alleged that political alignments have emerged between the LDF, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Kerala. He claimed that the Left Front now comprises two distinct categories of leaders: those willing to secure power at any cost, even if it requires compromising with any entity, and those who remain committed to ideological principles but feel deceived within the system.
He further stated that many workers who have dedicated years to ideological causes are now experiencing a sense of hurt and disillusionment. According to him, certain leaders within the LDF are prioritizing political power over foundational ideology, leading to growing dissatisfaction among party ranks.
Rahul Gandhi also alleged that the Chief Minister of Kerala maintains connections with forces that are responsible for attacks on minorities in other parts of the country. H
e asserted that the current government no longer reflects the principles traditionally associated with the Left, claiming that there is nothing “Left” remaining in its functioning.
The remarks come at a critical juncture as Kerala approaches the 2026 Assembly elections, underscoring escalating political tensions and sharpening ideological confrontations among major political players in the state.
