Elderly Passenger Booked After Cabin Crew Alleges Inappropriate Conduct on Dammam–Hyderabad Flight

An elderly passenger has been booked after a female cabin crew member alleged inappropriate touching during a Dammam–Hyderabad flight. The complaint was filed with RGI airport police after landing, leading to a case under BNS, while the accused claimed the contact was accidental.

An international flight arriving in Hyderabad has come under scrutiny after a senior citizen passenger was booked for allegedly misbehaving with a female cabin crew member mid-air, prompting a police complaint immediately after landing.

According to police officials, the incident occurred on a flight from Dammam, Saudi Arabia, to Hyderabad. After the aircraft landed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, a member of the cabin crew approached the RGI airport police station on December 13 and filed a formal complaint against the passenger, who is reportedly around 60 years old. The crew member alleged that the man touched her inappropriately during the journey, triggering concern and distress.

Following the complaint, airport police registered a case under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Officials confirmed that the accused passenger was served a legal notice as part of the procedure. During preliminary questioning, the man denied any deliberate misconduct, claiming that the physical contact was unintentional and accidental.

Police stated that the matter is being handled in accordance with established legal protocols, and further action will depend on the outcome of the investigation and available evidence. Authorities have not disclosed additional details, citing the sensitivity of the case and the need to protect the identity of the complainant.
