“Nation Above Party”: JP Nadda Signals Readiness for Full Debate in Rajya Sabha

BJP leader and Rajya Sabha Leader of the House JP Nadda told Parliament that the nation comes before party politics, assuring members that the government is fully prepared for detailed discussions on all issues. His remarks underline a commitment to debate and parliamentary accountability.

New Delhi: In a pointed message delivered on the floor of the Rajya Sabha, BJP leader and Leader of the House Jagat Prakash Nadda underscored the primacy of national interest over political considerations, asserting that the ruling party is fully prepared for comprehensive discussions on all issues raised in the Upper House.

Addressing members of the Rajya Sabha, Nadda sought to reassure the House that the government harbours no reluctance toward debate or scrutiny. He stated that the BJP stands ready to engage in detailed and meaningful deliberations, reflecting a commitment to parliamentary processes and democratic norms.

Emphasising his personal and political philosophy, Nadda declared that the nation comes first, with party interests firmly placed second. The remark was positioned as a guiding principle for his conduct in the House, signalling an intent to rise above partisan lines when matters of national importance are at stake.

His statement came amid ongoing parliamentary proceedings where demands for discussion on various issues have been a recurring point of contention. By affirming openness to debate, Nadda aimed to convey stability, accountability, and respect for the institution of Parliament.
