A wedding celebration in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, turned fatal when alleged celebratory gunfire by an intruder killed a guest on the spot. Police have registered a case and launched a search for the accused shooter. The incident has sparked concern over illegal weapons and rising risks at public events.  

A suspected vehicle thief was shot and arrested after a police encounter in Ghaziabad’s Ankur Vihar. Officers recovered a country-made pistol and a stolen scooter from the accused, identified as Amir. Security was tightened in the area as police began legal action following the late-night exchange of fire.
