Kota Collectorate, Coaching Hub and Jaipur High Court Receive Bomb Alerts
Multiple locations in Rajasthan, including the Kota Collectorate, Shikhar Coaching Institute and Jaipur High Court, received emailed bomb threats, prompting evacuations and intensive security searches. Authorities, police and bomb squads launched full-scale investigations as similar threats were reported in Jaipur and Ajmer earlier this month.
According to officials, the email arrived around 7:20 a.m. and was purportedly sent by an individual claiming to be from Kerala. Following the threat, the Collectorate premises were swiftly cleared while police teams, bomb disposal units, dog squads and Army personnel launched coordinated search efforts across the campus and surrounding areas. Security agencies intensified surveillance and began tracing the source of the email as part of a wider investigation.
In Jaipur, security measures were simultaneously heightened after the Rajasthan High Court received a similar threat, triggering a thorough sweep of the premises. These alerts follow a disturbing pattern: on December 5, the Jaipur High Court had received a previous bomb threat, and on December 4, both the Ajmer Dargah and Ajmer Collectorate were targeted with similar warnings. None of the earlier threats led to the discovery of any suspicious material, but the repeated incidents have raised concerns within law enforcement circles.
Kota Collector Piyush Samaria confirmed the details of Monday’s message, noting that the sender had explicitly taken responsibility for the planned attacks. Authorities continue to treat the matter with utmost seriousness, given the specific references to RDX and high-value targets.
As investigations progress, the repeated threats across Rajasthan have underscored the growing challenge of identifying the perpetrators behind these disruptive alerts. Officials say the pattern of hoax-like emails—while not yielding physical evidence—requires full-scale responses each time, straining resources and heightening public anxiety. Security agencies remain on high readiness as they work to determine whether these incidents are connected and to prevent any potential escalation.
